CUSD COUNSELING VISION STATEMENT
The Capistrano Unified School District School Counseling Program strives to provide opportunities so that every student will acquire the social-emotional, academic, and career skills to reach their fullest educational potential and successfully manage their lives as healthy, responsible, competent, and productive citizens who respect themselves and others.
THE ROLE OF THE HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELOR
High school counselors are educators uniquely trained in child and adolescent development, learning strategies, self-management and social skills who understand and promote success for today's diverse students. They implement a school counseling program to support students through this important developmental period.
