LETTER OF RECOMMENDATIONLetters of Recommendation are a necessary part of the college application process. Many private schools and other schools across the country will ask for letters from Counselors, Teachers or other important individuals in a student's life. When using Common App, LOR's are almost always requested from schools. UC and CSU schools do not use LOR's. 
It is important that students request letters well before their due date to ensure that a Counselor or Teacher has ample time to create this letter. Expect a 3-4 week time frame for the letter to be uploaded. Students do not have access to nor will they see the letter. It is confidential.
