Sophomore Year:

PSAT: Take this practice test in the fall for preparation for the SAT Test.

Practice ACT & SAT Tests provided by Futureology at no cost: Take a full-length practice test under realistic testing conditions in the spring.

Advanced Placement (AP): These tests are taken in May. Students in AP classes prepare for these subject-oriented exams during the entire school year. Register at school in February.
Junior Year:

PSAT: Take this test in the fall. The National Merit Scholarships are linked to this exam.

Practice ACT & SAT Tests provided by Futureology at no cost: Take a full-length practice test under realistic testing conditions in the spring.

ACT: Official test that includes English, mathematics, reading, science reasoning, and essay (optional). Register online with the ACT at: www.act.org.

SAT: Official test that includes English, mathematics.
Note: essay option discontinued effective after the June 2021 sitting.

Senior year should be left for score improvement on the SAT Test and/or ACT Tests (check with specific college for requirements). All testing should be completed in December. Note: While many colleges will allow you to take exams up to the November and December test dates, check with the colleges to which you are applying to determine their policies and deadlines.
