Winter Formal 2024

WOFO Guidelines: 

Venue:  Hangar 21 (3815 W. Commonwealth Ave, Fullerton, CA 92833)
Time:  7:30 - 10:00
 
In order to provide for a safe and fun Winter Formal Dance the following will be enforced Saturday, Jan. 20th:
 
  • Students must present a CURRENT physical student ID to enter the dance
    • Dance starts at 7:30 pm and ends at 10:00 pm
  • All students will be breathalyzed and searched.
  • All attendees must be checked in no later than 8:30 pm.
  • Dress code will be enforced.
  • Shoes and Shirts must remain on at all times
 
  • A bag check will be available near the entrance to the dance, however, the following items are not allowed into the dance:
Large bags
Bottles or containers of any kind (ex. makeup, perfume/cologne, hand sanitizer, breath mints, etc.)
If you have a medical necessity that requires consideration, please contact Mrs. Davis-Johnson prior to the dance (pmdavis@capousd.org)
 
  • Inappropriate dancing or behavior (cutting or pushing in lines)  will result in removal from the dance (temporarily or permanently).
    • If a student is removed from the dance for any reason, a parent will be notified and it is the parent’s responsibility to immediately pick up the student. 
  • Attendees are not allowed to leave the dance prior to 9:00 pm
  • Students must be picked up within 30 minutes after the end of the dance, no later than 10:30 pm.

WOFO Dance is Saturday, January 20, 2024 - HANGAR 21 in Fullerton

  • 3 Day Flash Sale (Nov. 29 - Dec. 1) - $65 w/ ASB and $75 w/o  (in store purchase only!)
  • Dec. 2 - 18:  $75 w/ ASB and $85 w/o
  • Dec. 19 - Jan. 8: $85 w/ ASB and $95 w/o
  • Jan. 9 - Jan. 17:  $95 w/ ASB and $105 w/o
  • Jan. 20 @ the door:  $150 Cash/Credit Only (with or without ASB card)
 
  • Guest Tickets go on sale Dec. 4 (in store purchase only, not available online)
 
Tickets can be purchased on-line or in the ASB Office (before school, at break or at lunch). 
 
Students who have not completed their assigned detentions will be ineligible to purchase a ticket until the detention has been served!
 
GUESTS:
  • Guest ticket prices are set at $85.00
  • All guests must have a Guest Contract approved and on file with the ASB office.
  • A host ticket must be purchased PRIOR to purchasing a guest ticket.
  • A link to the Guest Contract can be found HERE(copies are also available in the ASB Office).
  • Guest tickets must be purchased in person in the ASB store no later than 1:30 pm on January 12, 2024.   All guest contracts and required information must be turned in to the ASB office no later than January 11, 2024   for pre-approval before purchase is allowed!
 
BUS/LIMO CONTRACT:
  • Students intending to ride in a party bus or limo with 12 or more attendees MUST have a Bus Contract approved and on file with the ASB office.  
  • A link to the Bus/Limo Contract can be found HERE (copies are also available in the ASB office).  All contracts must be submitted to the ASB office no later than Wednesday, Jan. 17. 2024.
 
DANCE ATTIRE

DANCE ATTIRE

  • THS Winter Formal 2024 Dance Attire:  This dance is a formal event so be sure to dress accordingly.  
  • Dresses must be appropriate length which is mid-thigh, including side slit in leg. Slits on dresses or skirts that end above mid-thigh are not permitted. Dresses that expose any skin in the midriff area is not acceptable, including revealing sides and open backs below the waist.
  • Strapless / spaghetti straps are allowed.
  • Stretchy (lycra, spandex, bubble dresses, etc.) or tight fitting skirts that may creep up are prohibited!
  • Bandeau/Tube/Scarf tops and excessively low-cut or plunging necklines are prohibited. Tops may not be low-cut and may not show midriff or sides.
  • Shirts must be worn throughout the dance (undershirts may NOT be worn in lieu of shirt).
  • Shoes must be worn at all times.
  • No jeans or shorts are permitted
  • No canes, chains or hats are permitted.
Please note:
The faculty and administrators in attendance will be the final judge of the appropriateness of dress style.  Students who are dressed inappropriately will be asked to call home for a change of something more appropriate or they can be picked up to leave for the night. No students in violation of our school’s dress code will be admitted to the dance. If you have any questions about what you are going to wear, please snap a picture with the dress on and talk to Mrs. Engelken or Mrs. Finman (alengelken@capousd.org or mffinman@capousd.org)  in the Administration office. They can approve/disapprove clothing before the dance so that you won’t show up to the dance only to be turned away. Because you have this option before the dance, we will not be taking questions/complaints about dress code at any time during or after the dance.
