CERAMICS 1A AND 1B COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

This course introduces and develops techniques in clay forming and decoration by means of hand building and the use of the potter's wheel. Additional emphasis is on design decoration, art terms, ceramic history, and careers.
THIS COURSE MEETS THE UC/CSU "VPA" REQUIREMENT.
ADVANCED CERAMICS COURSE DESCRIPTION
Prerequisite - Ceramics 1A and 1B
This advanced course provides the opportunity to further refine hand building and use of the potter’s wheel. Emphasis is placed on developing personal style in design and decoration. This course can be taken more than once for credit.
THIS COURSE MEET THE UC/CSU "COLLEGE PREP ELECTIVE" REQUIREMENT.
