Prerequisite: Pass both semesters of Biology with grades of B or better PLUS pass both semesters of Chemistry with grades of B or better. Recommendation of current science teacher. Senior Only Course

 

This lecture and laboratory-based course is equivalent to one semester of college environmental science. It emphasizes the interdependency  and complexity of the natural world and the impact of human activity on the global ecosystem. Topics include energy, matter, Earth,  atmosphere, biosphere, human population dynamics, renewable and nonrenewable resources, environmental quality, global changes and  their consequences, and environment and society.
