Grades: 9-12 10 Credits/Year-long course
Recommended: Successful completion of Algebra 1
Methods of logical thinking are used to develop a collection of useful statements about plain and 3-dimensional figures and the relationships between them. Starting with a few fundamental ideas about points, lines, planes, segments, angles and basic figures, particular emphasis is placed on the idea of deductive proofs. This course also includes area and volume, coordinate geometry and constructions.
