  • Preliminary SAT National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test for Grade 11 students  
  • Highest-scoring Junior entrants in each state may qualify
  • Practice SAT Test opportunities for Grades 9 and 10 are offered by Futureology.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

  • If you are interested in taking the PSAT Test at Tesoro High School on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, register by Friday, September 19, 2025 
  • $40 Registration Fee. 
  • PSAT Seats are limited and registration is offered on a first-come, first-served basis to current Junior students ONLY.
  • Junior Registration window opens 8/19/25 to 9/19/25

  • Juniors ONLY can request a Fee Waiver if they qualify. Before registering, click HERE for information on requesting a fee waiver and determine if you qualify.
 

How the PSAT/NMSQT Is Structured

The PSAT/NMSQT takes 2 hours and 14 minutes and consists of 2 sections: (1) the Reading and Writing Section, and (2) the Math Section. Most of the questions are multiple choice, though some math questions ask you to write in the answer rather than select it.
 

TEST DAY INFORMATION:

  • Students who are registered to take the PSAT will receive an email with instructions by Thursday, October 16th.
  • Check-in by 7:30 AM. DOORS CLOSE AT 8:00 AM. Students will not be permitted to test if they arrive late. Please plan accordingly.
  • Students must bring the following:
    • Photo ID (mandatory) Can not be a screen shot of an ID. Needs to be the physical student ID or Driver's License. NO ID = NO TEST
    • SCHOOL ISSUED CHROME BOOK - FULLY CHARGED
    • Calculator
    • Snack/Drink - optional
  • Note: PLEASE LEAVE CELL PHONES AT HOME OR IN YOUR CAR. Cell phones are not permitted in the testing room and cannot be accessed during the testing window.
  • Dismissal Time: 11am approx.
